Families & Young People

What about children?

Jesus loved children – and so do we. They are not part of the church of tomorrow, but part of the church today! Children of all ages – and their parents – are very welcome, and we are relaxed about any noise that young ones naturally make.

The Sunday groups for our children and young people at East Dean Church have a fresh new look. Each week in term-time, except when we gather in Church for our “All Age service”, the young people aged 3-14 are invited to meet in the Village Hall to enjoy a simple breakfast with the group leaders. Please drop the in at 9.15 am so we have time for this before the fun activities begin at 9.30am!

Christian themes will be explored through craft, music, drama, bible study activities and discussion relevant to the different ages in the three groups.

All the groups join the congregation for the last part of the morning service at East Dean Church

On the 4th Sunday each month the afternoon All Age Service is preceded from 3.30pm by craft and games for all the family!

Créche (The Beehive)

Children are particularly welcome at our morning services at East Dean where we offer a supervised crèche (ages 0-3) for much of the service so that parents can enjoy their worship without distraction.
