Growing Our Faith

crowns TVP4364 M

Spiritual growth is worth striving for. It can be a journey that takes patience and commitment and we all need some encouragement!

Just as the early Christians did 2000 years ago, so today we follow their example and meet in each other’s homes enjoying food or refreshment together, building friendships and developing our faith through discussion, courses and Bible study.

Christianity Explored

Questions about the Christian faith? The “Christianity Explored” course does not assume you have any knowledge of God or the Bible, or any experience of church. It gives you an opportunity to explore from scratch the compelling teaching and extraordinary claims of the person at the heart of it all – Jesus Christ. It is relaxed, low-key, friendly and enjoyable, with plenty of opportunity for questions.

The Alpha Course

The Alpha Course has become a worldwide phenomenon! It is a wonderful opportunity for anyone with some knowledge of Jesus and the Christian faith to grow and explore further in the company of others.

The Alpha course consists of talks looking at topics such as “Who is Jesus?” “Why and how do I pray?”, “Why and how should I read the Bible?” and “How does God guide us?” as well as providing an opportunity to re-visit some of the basics such as “Who is Jesus ?”  and “Why did Jesus die?”.

There is a meal together and afterwards a time of discussion. Feel free to take a full part in the discussion or just sit back and listen in silence.

Home Groups

If you have ever listened to a preacher and wanted to stop them and say “But what about…?” or “I don’t understand,” then Home Groups are for you! In a small group setting you can ask questions, participate in discussion, Bible study and hear others share insights and examples of the truth you are trying to grasp.

Prayer

Prayer is the most important activity of our lives. It is the main way we develop our relationship with our Father in heaven. Every Christian knows, through experience, that God answers prayer. In praying together, we are drawn together and we find answers to the needs in our lives.

There is a small Prayer Meeting every Tuesday at 5pm in church.

There is also a Prayer Meeting, open to all, every Thursday at 9am and Sunday at 6.30pm, held on zoom, to pray for the needs of individuals and our community.
